Junichi Hoshino
Jun'ichi Hoshino is currently an associate professor at the University of Tsukuba, and a director of Entertainment Computing Laboratory.
He has been a subcommittee chair of IWEC2002 (First International Workshop on Entertainment Computing), founding chair of Virtual Reality Society Japan, Special Interest Group on Entertainment VR (SIGEVR), program chair of ACM International Conference on Advances in Computer Entertainment(2004–2005), and a founding Chair, IPSJ Special Interest Group on Entertainment Computing (2005–2006).
His research interests include entertainment computing, digital storytelling, and game technologies. His recent work includes the soap bubble display system (bubble cosmos) and a life-like animation system SpilantWorld that has won International CG Award (2010).
